Happy Father’s Day! Hope all those Dads have a great day today!

After being injured and being told shooting my bow is a no go. It is nice to be getting in those reps again. Injury’s are the worst and I’m one to suffer and work through it. But if I decided to go longer I may have caused permanent damage. Stay healthy people! Be patient in your healing injuries. I sure did miss my Bow!

Girls did great today! Caught some massive trout! Keela caught one by herself on her new realtree pole! Threw it out, caught it and reeled it in! Hunting always has cool surprises. You never know what may show up to say hello. This was an encounter I had beginning of November. It was pretty cool to watch this guy. Gods creation is an incredible work of art and I cherish every minute I get to spend in the woods admiring it.

Start them young! My youngest and second youngest were helping me grind some venison. Nothing like help from your kids who also enjoy your harvest. It’s a family thing! Got 20lbs of ground out of just the body/neck scraps using 5lbs of pork fat.

What an incredible Sunday. Started off getting to church then as soon as church was done me and the wife headed out to the woods.

There’s three critical things I do in getting ready for the upcoming hunting season.

Finally got around to making the Venison summer sausage! It’s processed and packed! Now we wait till tomorrow to go in the Smokah! Then we have awesome snacks for a while!
